Matera uses carefully considered amounts of lavender and neroli essential oils to bring a gentle sensory dimension to our formulas and the everyday rituals around them.

Water-based personal care products need an appropriate preservation system to help protect the formula from microbial contamination during their intended shelf life and everyday use.
For us, thoughtful formulation does not mean removing an ingredient simply because its name may be unfamiliar.
It means understanding why it is there, how it is used, and the role it plays within the complete formula.
That is why we use preservation systems where they are needed — and why we list them openly.
